Restaurant Proef Amsterdam

In collaboration with Piet Hekker, Marije Vogelzang opened a new restaurant in Amsterdam in 2006. It was located in a former boiler house at the site of the Westergasfabriek. In this 8-meter-high building we placed a self-contained industrial storey floor of 30 m2. On top of this floor we placed wooden replicas of “Dixies” (festival toilets), the floor was used as office space. Under the floor we placed wide span shelving with a whole catering kitchen in it. Special features: a big chandelier, a Bullerjan woodstove and a henhouse.
